THIS MONTH'S COFFEE: Mahiga
A wildly delicious Kenyan coffee! It is super juicy, with a unique and refreshing sweetness. Try it iced or hot.
Mahiga is the name of the wetmill where this coffee is processed. It is located in the prestigious coffee-growing region of Nyeri. Around 500 co-op members grow coffee for the mill.
The station is located along the Mumwe River, which is its direct source of water for pulping and washing the coffee. The river originates in the nearby Aberdare mountains, which are protected and designated as a national park.
Our coffees are purposefully versatile, for brewing whichever way you like! We’re excited to brew Mahiga on pour over and over ice as the temperatures warm.

We're pretty hands-on with our coffee subscription—it's not all algorithms and programming. So if you ever want to change up your coffee or delivery schedule, all you need to do is shoot us a message and we'll change it up for you!
Over the years, we've honed in on a tried-and-true medium-coarse grind setting that works well for a range of home-brewing methods, including pour-overs, coffee machines, and french press. With this grind setting, you have the power to adjust the flavor of your coffee through your coffee to water ratio and water temperature. Feel free to email us with questions or for brewing help!
