It tasted better than most instant coffee that I've had, but there was a metallic aftertaste like when a brewed pot of coffee has been sitting around for too long. It's good, but is it $2.50+ per pack good when a small.amount. Id say maybe only if you would like to have something for guests, but I would suggest you try . Evenso, I'll try the beans and see how they compare. For these instant packs, I'll have to wait to see if a discount comes in down the road.

A few close friends of mine are serious coffee drinkers, really delighting in the process. I handed them a packet of the instant coffee, knowing they would scoff at it. That is in fact what happened, and when they prepared it and took a few sips, they looked at me and simply said, “this instant coffee is stunning”. Canyon's instant coffee is bar none! I have ordered it many times - and drink it by *choice* (not because I'm camping or away from other options) - because it is that flavorful. Recently, when Canyon's instant was temporarily out of stock (as if I needed further evidence their version is a hot commodity [no pun intended]) I caved and ordered some from another company. It was terrible! Downright undrinkable. CANYON INSTANT ONLY here!

During a recent family brunch, I offered one of my nephews a cup of Canyon's instant since he didn't want espresso and seemed even less interested in the time it would take to make a pour over (I gave him all 3 options). About halfway through his cup he looked up and said, "this is really good!". Coming from a young man in his early 20s, who is likely more of a coffee "guzzler", I can't think of a better compliment.
