The Chemex is one of our favorite ways to brew coffee at home. In fact, it was when we brought home a Chemex to replace a broken french press (on a whim) years ago that kickstarted our journey into making better coffee at home. Not that this method is better or worse than the French Press; rather, we were just amazed at how different the coffee could taste. And in the case of the Chemex, what was notable was how clean and smooth a cup it produced.
Over the years, we've honed in on a tried-and-true medium-coarse grind setting that works well for a range of home-brewing methods, including pour overs, coffee machines and french press. With this grind setting, you have the power to adjust the flavor of your coffee through your coffee to water ratio and water temperature. Feel free to email us with questions or for brewing help!
