Testimonials"When I made the switch to decaf coffee, I didn't want to give up what I love most - taste! Canyon Coffee decaf is so smooth and delicious and just makes my morning. That it's organic, is no small detail. Added bonus - the beautiful packaging and the sweetest vibes."
- Rebecca M., WI
“For me, decaf was a step down from ‘real’ coffee. But after trying Canyon’s, it’s all I want - ever. There’s no compromise on the richness of its flavor, and no other brand even comes close. Also, the fact that’s it’s Swiss Water processed means I’m skipping the chemicals. Winning!”
- Ali M., CA
Why We Care About Good Decaf Coffee
When we started Canyon Coffee, we learned very quickly that there are a lot of coffee lovers who want their coffee without the caffeine.
While the reasons vary—pregnant mothers, sensitivity to caffeine, total daily caffeine consumption, etc.—every decaf lover shares one thing in common: they still want a delicious cup of coffee!
We know what a difference good coffee makes in starting your day off right. And we believe everyone ought to enjoy a delicious cup, caffeine or not.
About the Farmers
AGPROCEM is a small farmer’s association formed in 2013, now comprised of 58 members in Vereda Montalvo, Planadas, South Tolima. It’s been Certified Organic since 2015. In the past five years, Planadas has begun to emerge from a long history of violence as a region with high potential for quality coffee and a strong commitment to environmental sustainability.
Unlike much of Colombia’s coffee sector, Planadas escaped the widely implemented “technification” and intensification practices (heavy use of agri- chemical fertilizers, full-sun production, etc) as USAID-funded agronomists and FNC extentionists never reached the area. On top of that, decades of isolation meant that farmers in Planadas simply couldn’t afford chemical inputs.
Ironically, or perhaps poetically, now that specialty and certified coffees have entered the equation, many in the area are better positioned, as they’ve essentially jumped over some of the agricultural practices we now know were misguided. AGPROCEM is at the center of the region’s emergence as a hub for specialty coffee production and we’re excited to share this fantastic lot with you.

What Is Swiss Water Process?
Swiss Water® Process uses the elements of water, temperature and time to create some of the most intriguing and flavorful decaf coffee. They start with small batches of quality coffee and green coffee extract. Then they add local Vancouver, B.C. water, and with careful attention monitoring time and temperature, they phase out the caffeinated water through osmosis until the coffee is 99.9% caffeine free.
