San Jose de Lourdes comes from producer Roger Chilcon Flores, who farms 3 hectares in the village of El Diamanté in Cajamarca, a mountainous region in northern Peru. Here, at 1900 meters, the Caturra and Pache cultivars ripen slowly, and Roger's extended fermentation process draws out the coffee's local character, giving the cup a distinctive depth.
Over the years, we've honed in on a tried-and-true medium-coarse grind setting that works well for a range of home-brewing methods, including pour overs, coffee machines and french press.
